· The PIR sensor will have a wiring terminal for the 'live supply' which will be fed via the light switch, and also a wiring terminal for the 'switched live' that goes out to the lights. All you have to do is remove the wires from both of these terminals and connect them together. The sensor will then be inoperative and the switch will control the lights.
PIR sensors are used for burglar alarms. They work fine in daylight, and won't have light sensors to disable them during the day. How do you reset a PIR sensor? Resetting the motion sensor only takes a few minutes, requires no tools, and anybody can do it. Turn off the circuit breaker that powers the motion sensor light for a minimum of 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Turn the light switch ...
Cover the PIR sensor by taping a piece of foil over it. That way the lights will come on when you operate the switch, and when you switch off, the sensor will never detect a person in the room and so never turn them on. I had to do this to disable...
· So what I want to do is fit a switch to bypass the PIR. The four-way terminal strip has: (1) live - goes to live of the PIR. (2) Neutral - goes to neutral of both the PIR and the light bulb. (3) Earth - goes to casing. (4) The switched live from the PIR connects to the light bulb.
Disable Motion Detection for Reolink Battery-powered Cameras. For Reolink battery-powered cameras, you just need to turn off the PIR sensor, then the cameras will stop to detect motions. 2. Disable Motion Detection for Reolink PoE/WiFi Cameras (haven't been added into NVRs) For Reolink PoE and WiFi cameras, motion detection is enabled by default. If you don't want any motion to be detected ...
· Disabling GLS -ODT-C-CN Occupancy sensor. william price. 5/19/17 #221448. I was wondering if anybody has any suggestion on how to easily enable / disable an occupancy sensor. I'm not ever sure if disabling all the PIR/US sensors will actually cause the device to be disabled and might cause a shutdown to trigger after timeout.
· Alarm disable PIR sensor. Using Arduino. Project Guidance. unoin June 27, 2015, 5:03pm #1. So I've got an alarm that has 3 buttons, first 2 for time setup, and the 3rd to start the alarm. It s a trigger alarm with countdown. I want to use a PIR sensor that when the time is up and the buzzer starts will cancel my buzzer, practically resets my alarm when movement is near the sensor. I tried ...
PIR sensors need to be inspected regularly, and even opened to see if glass or plastic was inserted inside the unit. Sometimes contractors will "tune" the unit by putting plastic inside to make the unit less sensitive. Always test PIR units by doing boundary tests, not …
Motion sensors are actually a great invention. In darkness, they automatically switch on the connected lights as soon as someone is in the detector’s sensor zone. After the set time, the light goes out again. In some situations, however, it is desirable to be able to switch …

A simple silicone spray will blind the sensor, and is invisible to the naked eye. It leaves a trace, but it might not be discovered until much later, if at all. Alternatively, you could place glass in front of the sensor when it was off, which would do the same thing. Glass and silicone sprays block the IR wavelength bodies emit.
· The PIR sensor of Reolink battery-powered cameras is enabled all the time by default, and can be manually turn on/off by users. With the PIR turned off or disabled, the camera will go into sleep mode and will not respond to any motions. But you can still access the camera and turn on the PIR anytime you want. · I'm trying to decorate my uncles lounge this weekend, but couldn't complete the coving because of the PIR sensor being in the way. By searching around on the web I've discovered the alarm system is a Scantronic 9210, but I can't find a simple way of disabling the tamper system. The trouble I have is that as soon as I try to unclip the front cover of the sensor (I'm presuming this will give me …
· Hi, We have an i-on16 burglar alarm with scantronic xcel pir detectors (which I think are wireless, but could be wired). I want to re-paint one of our rooms and for a neater finish would like to remove (or at least loosen from the wall) the pir sensor to paint around.

Motion sensor lights should be mounted six to 10 feet above the ground with the sensor aimed so that movement will occur at right angles to the sensor. Don’t aim them too low, or the light won’t come on until the heat source is close to the unit. Likewise, don’t aim them too high, or they could shoot over the top, and it would be possible to approach the house undetected.
· Turn the dial to increase or decrease the sensitivity of the motion detector. Additionally, how do you calibrate a PIR sensor? Check your circuit, and turn on your power supply to test the PIR motion sensor. vii. Wait for 10 to 60 seconds for the PIR sensor to calibrate itself. If the LED is on, please wait until the LED turns off, as well.

My first motion/PIR node with 2 relays now working. Some other nodes also running. But I want to add one feature; "disable daytime". What is the smartest approach? Ask controller for time or, even better, a variable which described if daytime or not; Use a lightsensor to block the logic at "light" Other approach (I want to block the logic daytime)
