· PIR sensors are more complicated than many of the other sensors explained in these tutorials (like photocells, FSRs and tilt switches) because there are multiple variables that affect the sensors input and output. To begin explaining how a basic sensor works, we'll use this rather nice diagram The PIR sensor itself has two slots in it, each slot is made of a special material that is …
Circuit diagram of the PIR Motion Sensor Light and Switch based on SB0061 shown here can be used for security or corridor lighting in power saving mode. The 12V DC supply required for the whole circuit can be fed from any standard 12V ac mains adaptor/battery. Working of the circuit is simple and straight forward. When any movement is detected within near 5-6 metres, around Volt is ...
Pictured above is a circuit which takes an input from one (or more series-connected) PIR motion is detected, the relay on the circuit board will close for from 5-80 seconds (user programmable) turning on a connected device – security light or warning siren. · The design is based on a PIR motion sensor circuit which can be easily built using the following basic set up and applied as a burglar alarm circuit. Here we can see, the system can be assembled using just 5 fundamental components, which are: 1) The PIR Module 2) A 1 k resistor, 3) An NPN transistor, 4) A Relay, 5) An Alarm Siren unit.

Here PIR, When senses Motion ,Outputs - - so we would be using this output pin to turn on and off the transistor which is on board. In Return Transistor Will complete the Circuit and Relay will also turn on and off with transistor. I Hope this can't be more simpler than this lol.....
· Circuit diagram of the IR motion sensor relay switch is shown in Fig. 2. It is built around a PIR motion sensor module (connected across CON2), MOSFETs BS170 (T1) and IRF9540 (T2), rectifier diode 1N4007 (D1) and a few other components.. The PIR sensor module has a 3-pin connection for Vcc, output and ground, and provides a single output that goes high when motion is …
PIR sensor consists of three pins, ground, signal, and power at the side or bottom. Generally, the PIR sensor power is up to 5V, but, the large size PIR modules operate a relay instead of direct output. It is very simple and easy to interface the sensor with a microcontroller. The output of the PIR is (usually digital output) either low or high.
